Our UK operation began in 1959 in London, but subsequently moved to Manchester when we took over the Jones Sewing Machine Company in 1968 as a base for marketing our range of typewriters, knitting and sewing machines. We still operate out of the Manchester office today, which is also the headquarters of Brother Europe.
